BISHOP NEWBY'S ROLLS
A great roll for any occasion. My kids' seminary class beg for the cinnamon rolls every week.

Directions
- For dinner rolls: Mix together warm water, powedered milk, salt, and sugar.
- Melt margarine in microwave, let cool to luke warm.
- Stir margarine into liquid mixture.
- Add yeast, stir, let sit for five to ten minutes.
- Add flour to form a soft but not sticky dough.
- Knead by hand for about fifteen minutes or with mixer dough hooks for five minutes.
- Let rise in warm place until double in bulk, about 90 minutes.
- Form into rolls, about 2\" in diameter. Place on cookie sheet or jelly roll pan, about 1/2 inch apart.
- Let rise again until double, about an hour.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.
- To make cinnamon rolls, use 2/3 cups of sugar instead of 1/3 cup, mix as directed.
- Let rise once.
- Cut dough into two pieces.
- Roll out each with rolling pin.
- Spread with softened butter.
- Sprinkle each with a mixture of 1/3 cup brown and 1/3 cup granulated sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. You may sprinkle on raisins if desired.
- Roll up jelly roll style, slice about 1 and a 1/2 inches thick.
- Place on cookie sheet or jelly roll pan, let rise until double.
- Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes (until golden brown).
- For icing: Mix 2 cups powdered sugar with 2 to 4 tablespoons milk to desired consistency, drizzle on rolls.
Additional Tips
You can make the rolls in the evening, place them on the pans and put them in the refrigerator over night. Take them out of the fridge 3 hours before you wish to serve them to let them rise, and bake.
